Fact Sheet: Celebrating Nike’s 54th anniversary with release of new eco-friendly shoes
BEAVERTON, Ore., Jan. 1, 2025 — Nike, a sportswear brand for athletes, is releasing new eco-friendly shoes in celebration of the company’s 54th anniversary. The shoes, called EcoStrides, come from a partnership with Nike’s sustainability program, Nike Grind. Starting on Feb. 1, 2025, the EcoStrides will be available for purchase online and in all brick-and-mortar stores until the end of the calendar year, while Nike celebrates the anniversary.

• Nike is releasing new shoes called EcoStrides, which are made of fully recycled materials. The shoes were created in collaboration with Nike Grind in honor of the company’s environmental efforts and 54th anniversary. Nike will donate 5.4% of all EcoStride sales to sustainability efforts.

• The product will be released at 12:01 a.m. on Feb. 1, 2025 and will remain in stores until 11:59 p.m. on Dec. 31, 2025.
